•          The Wholesale Fish Market of Milan is of the most modern ones at a European level and is the largest fish market in Italy, both in size and because of the quantities negotiated.  The Market is known for the high quality and the freshness of the marketed products.

•          The Wholesale Meat Market of Milan has been operating in accordance with European sanitary regulations since 1996.  The Market makes use of a production room that is capable of supplying purchasers with the whole range of cuts and variously-sized parts, traditionally or vacuum packed.

•          The Wholesale Poultry and Rabbit is the leading market in Italy for the marketing of meat of chicken, rabbit and game, as well as manufactured and pre-cooked products and eggs. A negotiation hall for aviculture products has been created in the Poultry and Rabbit Market: a real “Stock Exchange” hosting sales representatives from the most important Italian firms in the aviculture sector, who, by telephone and without the displaying of the goods, negotiate over 50% of the whole domestic consumption.

•          The Wholesale Flower Market of Milan makes use of innovative and technological plant engineering and undertakes a main role for the development of domestic flower-growing and for the redistribution of foreign products in Italy.

SO.GE.M.I. has started up the formulation of an industrial Project of development of the Company itself aimed at a logistic and structural reappraisal of the Wholesale markets in the current location and at the extending of the product range and accessory and complementary services as far as the agricultural and food sector is concerned.

More specifically, the project “The City of Taste and Health – Milan Food Village” will be developed together with SO.GE.M.I. Food S.r.l.  This project consists in the accomplishment of an outstanding international centre for the agricultural and food sector, health and the environment, as well as complementary and accessory services for the Markets, also by virtue of the assignment of Expo 2015 to Milan.

Lastly, started up within the Markets is the accomplishment of an outstanding centre as far as the art of wine-making is concerned – Milan Wine Village.  For every segment of the offer this will guarantee trade access to features such as table wine, reserve wine, domestic and international first-class products, at the best conditions the market has to offer, making use of innovative and technological accessory services.
